Gillian Kenny Associates - Hep B Research

Date Added: 13/05/11

We are currently conducting market research interviews with patients who have been diagnosed with Hepatitis B.

Consenting patients will be required to take part in a face to face interview lasting 60 minutes with a qualified interviewer at a time convenient to the patient.

Please, be aware that these interviews will be audio recorded for analysis purposes only

The patient would receive an incentive of £50 for his or her involvement in the study. We would also like to offer you a finder's fee of £30 for each patient that successfully takes part.  Alternatively we can make a donation to a charity of your choice.  If you are interested in helping I can then provide you with some more information as we have certain quota's to fulfil.

Patient confidentiality is paramount to GKA, we would, therefore be grateful if you could pass our details (juliesheen@gilliankenny.com) on to any patients that you believe would be suitable to take part rather than passing on their details to us.

We are members of and adhere to MRS, BHBIA and the ESOMAR guidelines, which are also in-line with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any information gathered as a result of the interview will be used for research purposes only and may not be used for any other purpose. The guidelines clearly state that there can be no attempt to "sell" within an exercise that has been presented as market research.  In addition to this, all information given will be in complete confidence and names will not be revealed to any other party.  We are now being asked to pass on to our client details of adverse events that are mentioned during the course of market research interviews.  Should you raise an adverse event in a specific patient during the discussion we will need to report this even if it has already been reported by you directly to the company or regulatory authorities using the MHRA's 'Yellow card' system.  In such a situation you will be asked whether or not you are willing to waive the confidentiality given to you using the market research codes of conduct specifically in relation to that adverse event.  Everything else you say during the course of the interview will continue to remain confidential, and you will still have the option to remain anonymous if you so wish.

If you have any questions or would like further information on the study, please, don't hesitate to contact me on 01594 515 115.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Julie Sheen
