Consensus Conference: The allocation of liver organs for transplantation

In recent years consensus conferences have successfully addressed the issue of minimum selection criteria for transplantation in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. In this conference we now wish to consider whether new systems of organ allocation and distribution should be introduced across the United Kingdom. The conference is open to all interested parties; from units which refer patients to transplant centres, transplant surgeons and physicians and representatives of patient groups and liver disease charities.
